Founded in 2006, the BMW Historic Motor Club is the only club in the UK catering solely for historic BMWs. Officially recognised by BMW, it exists to encourage the use and preservation of eligible BMW, Frazer Nash-BMW, EMW, Dixi, Veritas and AFM cars while bringing their owners and admirers together.
The Club maintains a register of members and their cars, shares technical information and organises events that create an active social community around these important vehicles. Membership is open to enthusiasts as well as owners, ensuring that specialist knowledge and an appreciation of the marque can be passed on to future generations.
Its website needed to serve several roles at once: an introduction for prospective members, a current information source for the Club community and a lasting reference archive. Prominent Media created a content-rich site with dedicated areas for membership, events, technical information, historical archives, club regalia and cars offered for sale or wanted.
One of the site’s most valuable elements is its catalogue of eligible cars. Individual model pages bring together specifications and galleries, allowing visitors to explore the vehicles covered by the Club and making specialist information easier to find. Upcoming and past events sit alongside downloadable membership material and practical Club information.
The result is a website that respects the heritage of the cars while supporting a living, active organisation. It gives the Club an accessible way to preserve knowledge, communicate with members and welcome anyone with an interest in some of BMW’s most significant historic models.
